Ryan started his
scouting career in 1993 when he joined the Tiger Cubs, and
continued on to earn his Arrow of Light before joining Troop 67
in Feb. 1998. He has held the positions of Patrol Leader, Asst.
Patrol Leader, Scribe, Troop Guide, OA Rep., Asst. Senior Patrol
Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. He is 18 and a senior at
North Mesquite High School. He is very involved in the JROTC
program and has held the positions of Squad Leader, Platoon
Sgt., and Command Sgt. Major. He currently serves as Battalion
Commander, Orienteering Commander and Physical Training
Commander. Ryan will be attending Stephen F. Austin University
in the fall.
Ryan chose to do his project at his
grandparents’ church, Casa Linda United Methodist. Over a
two-day period, he oversaw the refurbishment of the playground
equipment, moved benches into the play area, and replaced broken
window panes in the vicinity. For added safety, he placed
edging around the play area and trimmed overhanging trees.
Troop 67 is very proud of Ryan's achievements -
Congratulations, Ryan! |
