Kyle joined Scouts as a first year Webelos with Pack 108 in
Mesquite, Texas. In this Pack he went on to earn his Webelos II
rank and the Arrow of Light Award. After earning these ranks,
Kyle graduated into Boy Scouts and joined Troop 138. He later
moved to Troop 67. In Troop 138 he served as Patrol Leader,
Librarian and Historian. He completed Oak Leak Skills and got
special awards of Baden Powel, Johnson Peak, Mile Swim and two
Historic Trails. He has been very active in Troop 67, serving as
Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for two
terms, Quartermaster, Librarian, Troop Guide and Instructor. He
went through many Junior Leader Trainings, Troop Operation
Workshops and Golden Acorn. He has attended summer camps at Camp
Constantine, Camp Cherokee, Lost Pines, Hale Scout Reservation
and Elkhorn. Special awards he has received consist of the Mile
Swim two times, 50 Mile Hike, 50 Service Hours, BSA Lifeguard,
BSA Snorkeling, 2 Polar Bear Camps and Polar Bear Swim. He has
participated in a 60 mile trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in New
Mexico and has 41 Merit Badges.
Kyle was elected into the Order of the Arrow where he is a
Brotherhood member in the organization.
