Andrew Blake Self, 18, is a senior at North Mesquite High School, where he is a member of the National Honor Society and an active member of the student council, volunteering 15 hours per month. He became an Eagle October 10, 2005. Andrew joined scouting in fourth grade as a Webelo in Pack 93, advancing through the ranks to earn Scouting's highest award. During his years in scouts, Andrew has earned awards and participated in many activities, projects, and fund raisers. Some of those include Scouting for Food, Scout Show and Scout Show ticket sales, Buddy Poppy sales, and popcorn sales.
His Eagle Service Project was completed at Samuell Farm where he supervised a group of adult and scout volunteers in the beautification and drainage correction of the flower beds at the entrance of the farm. Andrew oversaw the cleanup, soil preparation, and mulching of the beds, as well as the construction of flowerbed walls. He also supervised the placement of decorative rocks edging the beds.
As a new Boy Scout, Andrew was part of the first group of scouts in Troop 67. During his time in the troop, he has held the positions of Instructor, Troop Guide, Scribe, and three terms as Patrol Leader. He staffed Cub Scout Twilight Camp as a volunteer for two years. Andrew has attended three summer camps at Tom Hale Scout Reserve in Oklahoma, and two winter camps at Camp Cherokee near Athens.
He has been accepted and plans to attend Texas Christian University in the fall.

Troop 67 is very proud of Andrew's achievements - Congratulations, Andrew!
